Quick update: Here's a picture from my last session, about a month ago. It was strictly touch-up work on my back, mostly redoing many of the sections in red which never really took well the first time around. Also, small scales were added to the lip of the large koi where before it was just a solid block of color. Shinji thought this would help minimize the appearance of the old tattoo underneath it. I have an appointment today, and I believe there will be a bit more touch-up work, but I am hopeful we will start to outline the left side of my body.

Im curious. Does Shinji work only couple of hours at a time as I think hes master also does?

Well, my appointments are always for 2 hours - but that is about as much as I can handle before I get to fidgety. 3 hours is probably my max. I've never pressed for longer appontments, so I don't know if they are possible. 2 hours just seems to be the standard.

Recently, I asked about a full day to make up some time and Shinji said he doesn't like to do much more than 3 hours at a time. I once had 4 hour session but that was outlining and he seemed to be on a roll.
